A Wearable Message
At LX Concept, we translated the mission of the Plastic Climate Engagement Platform into a T-shirt that was used in a unique giveaway campaign. In this campaign, participants could submit their own original jingle. The winner not only received one of the exclusive T-shirts but was also crowned the next jingle author of the platform. In addition, the winning jingle would be featured in one of the upcoming episodes of the platform, giving the winner the opportunity to share their music with the world.
Plastic, Climate, Future
The Plastic Climate Engagement Platform is at the forefront of the fight against plastic pollution and climate change. With their slogan “Plastic, Climate, Future” they emphasize the urgent need to act sustainably and create a future free from plastic pollution. The platform brings people, organizations, and ideas together to take action for a better planet. To support this powerful message, we chose to design the T-shirts with the slogan using flexprint. This sustainable printing technique perfectly aligns with the platform's values and ensures that the message remains visible and long-lasting.
Advantages of Flexprint
- Long-lasting quality: Flexprint offers a highly durable print that resists wear, scratches and fading, making it ideal for clothing that is frequently washed and designed to last.
- Eco-friendly: Flexprint uses inks that are less harmful to the environment than some other printing techniques, making it a more sustainable choice for both the consumer and the planet.
Disadvantages of Flexprint
- Limited colour variations: Flexprint is best suited for designs with fewer colour transitions and less complexity. It can be challenging to accurately reproduce certain gradients or intricate designs, especially when using multiple colours side by side.
- Not suitable for very thin fabrics: As Flexprint applies a thin yet firm layer to the material, it is less suitable for very light or delicate fabrics. This may affect the softness and wearability of the garment.
